First post
Hello, this is my first post on this blog (yay). It will be mostly dedicated to works in progress that I can't post on my characters and story blog (and maybe some rambling about ideas).
To start off, here's a rough draft of Samuel's design, a character that I created years ago (6 I think), but for whom I never gave a precise appearance. I didn't draw his right hand yet (my nemesis ...), but he has a hand prothesis made of leather and metal.
He is one the "Divinities" of death alongside Lethe and Maria who take care of the souls of the dead in the afterlife. His role is to precisely take souls from the mortals' realm to the realm if the dead (just like Charon does in Greek mythology).
His outfit is obviously inspired by roman toga. He has an olive tree branch attached with a brooch on his chest which symbolizes peace. As you may notice, he has a lot of scars on his body: it is because everytime he sends off a soul to the underworld, he receives a scar that the person got during the time when they were still alive.
Unlike Lethe and Maria who are of divine origins, Samuel was just a mere human before his deification.
